At 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday, the bars disappeared from the top of the screens. No calls, no texts, no 4G or 5G for part of the 21.6 million mobile customers of Orange and Sosh. At 11:50, Downdetector counted close to 12,000 reports. Bouygues Telecom and SFR, for their part, said they had seen nothing. It took until 8:30 p.m. for Orange to announce “a return to normal”.

Unrefined cane sugar, panela, is sold in brown blocks all over Colombia. Ground to powder and mixed with cocaine, it was meant to slip through the scanners of the port of Cartagena. The anti-narcotics directorate of the national police opened the container: 7.6 tonnes, announced President Abelardo de la Espriella, more than 42 billion pesos taken from the traffickers and “more than 19 million doses” that will never reach the street.

On Wednesday morning, the website of the Paris police prefecture read “under maintenance”. Why we write it

At first, I printed this paper for myself alone, every morning. I wanted to know what mattered in France, in Paris and in the world without spending an hour scrolling through screens. So I sorted, then I wrote.

filou d’actu is that sorting, shared. A few topics chosen every day, told simply, with the names of the media the facts come from. You read it with your coffee, from start to finish, then get on with your day.
