Matignon, Monday noon. Nathanaël Combary, board chair of Renouveau lycéen, leaves the meeting with the words the government was hoping for: “The method of dialogue has won”. In the same breath, he calls for the mobilisation to go on.

A list and a date

After the meeting with Sébastien Lecornu, Édouard Geffray, education minister, and Philippe Baptiste, higher-education minister, read out the list. Parcoursup will be replaced from the 2028 school year, classes in the first year of lycée capped at 28 pupils, 15,000 places opened in higher education.

The money follows, in part: 4 billion euros in loans to renovate lycées, 1 billion of investment for campuses, grants indexed to the cost of living from 2027. On Wednesday at 5 pm, the National Assembly will debate, without a vote, “the future of the guidance process”.

The timetable against impatience

FAGE, Union étudiante, UNEF and the lycée students’ union are not standing down. Three weeks in the street obtained what years of reports never did. Can a two-year timetable calm a generation that wants to be heard now?
